Chrictchurch Priory and The Kings Christchurch Wedding day: Aimee and Mark

Mark and Aimee contacted me in 2013 and booked their Christchurch Priory & The Kings Christchurch wedding photography. I was excited to capture their wedding in Christchurch Priory which was built between the 14th and 15th century.

Seb Skuza joined me as my 2nd shooter and captured the groomsmen before ceremony whilst I arrived at the brides house to get some lovely candid shots of them getting ready. Aimee’s house was busy with bridesmaid and page boys and family all getting ready for the day. The bride’s 1959 Pink Cadillac Coupe Deville arrived to take the bridal party to the Priory. Firstly I managed to get some great shots in the garden and out the front with this fine motor.

The ceremony in the Priory was full of emotion, laughter and smiles and a few tears. The Bride, Groom and wedding party walked a short distance to Christchurch Pavilion for their wedding breakfast. There was a bouncy castle, and lots of games to entertain them all on the bowling green. With the day light fast fading we took the newly weds for a walk around the grounds of the Pavilion for some signature shots before the evening reception. The wedding party moved across to the Priory suite of the Kings Head Hotel in the evening to get the celebrations into full swing. The Bride and Groom started the night with their sensational first dance with an amazing live band. The evening saw some great moves on the dance floor. We left the celebrations to continue into the night after their beautiful cake was cut.

I have captured a few Kings Christchurch Wedding days and this venue has it all. As one of Dorset’s most stylish and popular wedding venues, The Kings Arms is truly unique. A boutique venue, set in a magical location, the hotel’s intimate setting oozes fairy-tale romance. With its beautifully restored Kings Pavilion and exclusive Priory wedding suite, couples can create their perfect day, tailored to suit their own individual style and theme. With picturesque views overlooking the Avon River, Christchurch Castle and the King Arms Bowling Green, the hotel seamlessly blends tradition with exquisite contemporary style.
